![]() ![]() I do not use FileVault so this is not the issue. I have tried smb//*.* and the same thing happens - I access the full MacPro disk, I can access the root folders, but it will not provide access to the Desktop files. ![]() I therefore assume that the issue is the new M1 MacBook Pro as it is the only Mac that will not allow others to access the files in the desktop folder. The Pro will successfully access all files on both the Air and the Mini. When selecting and opening the Desktop file, nothing appears - it will not access the required files. I can access the Pro from both the Air and Mini Finder Go menu, sign on as Administrator, and see the root folders including Desktop. Since getting the replacement M1 Pro, I have found that Sharing does not work. I also have an Intel MacMini on Monterey which also had no issue accessing all the files on the old 2013 Pro. When it is in use I use an M1 MacBook Air on Monterey and work on the master files using Sharing. M1 MacBook Pro on Monterey will not share files I have just replaced a 2013 Pro with a MacBook M1 14" Pro. QB tech even deleted entire drive and reinstalled OS to start fresh. So very frustrated because now I have a $800 mini that is COMPLETELY USELESS :-( We even added QB and QB server to FULL FILE ACCESS. Anyone else successfully opening QB server on their mac mini or have ANY IDEA of what could be blocking? Firewall settings, etc. We put the company file on the iMacs and the server opens FINE which narrows down that it's not the file or QB software. All computers running same version OS, QB all up to date. Called apple and basically told has nothing to do with them (literally <5 minutes they gave me). IT tech came and said he can't figure it out as it's not a network issue but more a issue either with QB server or something apple is blocking from the two communicating. Multi-user REFUSES to work and share file. We tried every possible scenario with configurations, sharing, etc. Spent 7 hours today and 6 hours yesterday (no lie) with QB support. When we enable multi-user mode, server window opens but everything grayed out. Company file working / opening fine for single user. Installed QB Mac 2020 and QB Mac 2020 Server apps. Purchased a mac mini to use as our "host/server" computer to hold the main QB company file. ![]()
